Dear Friends
We are writing you to let you know that although Sunday services at all of our Churches have stopped, our church community will continue to pray and worship together.
Here is the first of our Sunday Sheets, which will have prayers, readings and a blessing for each Sunday. These will usually be published every Saturday. We ask that you use these at your normal church service time, or join in at 10.00am on Sunday so that we all know that we are praying and worshipping together, even if we can’t be in the same place.
We will also be filming a short Holy Communion service each week which you can access from your computers and we will send the link to you by e-mail, and it will also be available from the St Mary's website, and maybe the Wambrook Website. Just bear with us as we trial this to see what is going to work best.
You can gather with some bread, and wine, or juice, and do not worry about it not being blessed by a member of clergy – God will bless it, in and through the Holy Spirit for all that he has made is sacred.
We will be staying in touch with you by e-mail and phone and please don’t hesitate to phone one of us, just for a chat. However, if you need any help at all please phone one of us. We can always find someone to help.
We will still be meeting at St Mary's while we can on weekday mornings to say Morning Prayer and we will be praying for each of you by name.
We do not want to use clichés or platitudes – so all we will say is that in this time of uncertainty and high anxiety, God loves each of you and he will be with you.
